Run For A Reason
The River Run 5k was started 2009. Since it began, over 4,495 people have participated, and a this year we hope to see over 500 people running.
Each year the event has grown in popularity and brings both runners and walkers together to raise support for local child welfare organizations.
It's a great family event with something for everyone!
The River Run was started 2009 to raise funds to support local child welfare organizations, 4KIDS of South Florida, City House Delray, Place of Hope at the Leighan and David Rinker Campus, and Broward Outreach Center.

Everyone is welcome to participate! Children, first-time runners, walkers, passionate enthusiasts, families and friend supports - we have something for everyone!

Since its first year, over 4,495 runners and walkers have participated in the annual 5K and have raised $104,845. One hundred percent of all proceeds go directly to chosen organizations who work with orphans and foster children locally and globally. This year, all proceeds will go to 4Kids of South Florida.
